Hi, I’m Joseph Wadas, a wedding officiant serving Savannah, the Lowcountry, and beyond. As a pastor, writer, and lifelong student of what makes relationships flourish, I consider it a joy and an honor to stand with couples on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
I’ve spent years guiding couples through some of life’s biggest moments—celebrations, commitments, joys, losses, and new beginnings. My work as a pastor and former hospice chaplain has taught me something essential: love is sacred, marriage is meaningful, and every ceremony should reflect the heart of the couple saying “I do.”
Whether you envision something traditional, spiritual, modern, lighthearted, or completely unique, I help couples create a ceremony that feels like them—authentic, warm, and memorable. I take the time to truly listen, learn your story, and craft words that honor your journey together.
Beyond officiating weddings, I’m also an author of books on spirituality, philosophy, devotionals, and living life with purpose. These experiences shape the thoughtful, grounded approach I bring to every ceremony.
I live in Richmond Hill, Georgia, with my wife, Michelle, and I serve couples throughout the Savannah region and coastal Georgia. If you’re looking for an officiant who is warm, reliable, flexible, and deeply committed to making your day meaningful, I’d love to help bring your ceremony to life.
Pre-Marital Counseling
I am happy to also offer pre-marital counseling to couples who wish to have it (I do not require it!).
I am a certified SYMBIS facilitator. SYMBIS stands for Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS). Many couples do this with me, even if they do not have me as their officiant!
Feel free to contact me if you'd like this to help you prepare for your marriage!
